    The reality is that there is no job security. You can be made redundant at any time, regardless of performance or circumstances. In my case, it happened just days before Christmas, with a baby due in a matter of days. There was no compassion or warning—just a surprise meeting outside and I was let go on the spot. Not allowed back in the office to collect things or say goodbye to colleagues and friends. It was a brutal and unforgettable experience. Since then, I’ve gone on to start my own Website company, which now counts 10 former Stellar employees as clients—each of them having left to start their own agencies. That alone says a lot. Beware: while it may seem like a great place to work on the surface, job security and basic human empathy are far from guaranteed.
