Red Dot have always taken an active role in the community by supporting a variety of local charitable causes and we're on track to break the massive $100,000 dollar mark in early 2016 with our contributions over the years. As we near this massive milestone we'd like to thank all staff in all stores for the energy they give to each and every initiative and, of course, our loyal customers in the community for supporting us in our efforts to give back to those who need a helping hand. We won't slow down and we intend to continue to do our bit in making Western Australia (and the world) a better place to live.Source: This is an extract from the company's own website.

What’s it like working at Red Dot?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Red Dot stands out as an excellent starting point for those entering the workforce, offering valuable entry-level opportunities and flexible scheduling that particularly benefits students. Employees appreciate the positive work atmosphere, friendly colleagues, and tangible benefits including a staff discount and potential performance bonuses.

Common challenges include managing variable stock levels and deliveries, particularly in smaller stores, and handling typical retail situations such as demanding customers. The physical nature of the work, including extended periods of standing and heavy lifting, can be demanding, and some employees express concerns about shift allocation, especially for casual staff.

The business gives stores a large base wage budget and this budget increases/ decreases based on if you reach sales budget each week. HR is a nightmare. Regional managers are delightful.

Good for a teenager/Good but not a forever job.
The good thingsI think it was a GREAT beginner/young adult job. I really didn't want to go into hospitality/fast food like most other young adults do for their first job - but lots of retailers won't take you if you don't have any experience. Thats why I was so thankful that Red Dot decided to hire me!
The challengesSometimes the work culture wasn't fantastic - not necessarily in the immediate environment. Moreso with HR and other heads of operations/managers.

Not the best environment to work at (this may only be at my store, and might not be universal)
The good thingsVery flexible where needed in regards to shifts
The challengesManagement is poor, my store in particular is very bias towards favoured people, confidentiality is extremely lacking, and everyone is consistantly talking about leaving and finding another job.
