What’s it like working at Vinidex?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at Vinidex appreciate their friendly and supportive colleagues, noting good teamwork and a willingness to help one another. The work roster, particularly the 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, is valued for providing extended time off and contributing to a positive work/life balance. Additionally, employees indicate that pay and salary are generally good, with opportunities for overtime available.

However, there are some potential challenges, including limited career progression opportunities with managerial roles often recruited externally. Employees have noted that training and onboarding could be improved, as new staff often need to learn independently. Management practices vary across locations, with some employees experiencing challenges around communication and decision-making. There is also a high staff turnover rate, and some sites require equipment and facilities upgrades. The workload can be demanding, particularly in production roles with physically challenging tasks.

Highly toxic, don't invest your time here unless absolutely desperate.
The good thingsMet some really nice and genuine people.
The challengesManagement appears primarily focused on advancing their own careers, often resorting to inappropriate behavior to achieve their goals. The environment has overt favoritism, with blame frequently directed at lower-level employees. Noticeable lack of transparency and timely communication regarding essential information, which hampers the ability to perform effectively. No genuine care and support from management, and regular meetings or constructive feedback are seldom provided, if at all. The mandatory Christmas closure is deducted from employees' annual leave, further adding to dissatisfaction. The workplace itself is in extremely poor condition, with unsavoury cleanliness issues creating an unpleasant atmosphere. There is a pervasive culture of bribery to try to keep employees wanting to keep going into work, masked by superficial gestures like complimentary meals and insincere displays of empathy.
