What’s it like working at TAL?

    AI summary of recent reviews

TAL employees consistently praise their supportive and friendly colleagues, highlighting the collaborative atmosphere as a key positive aspect of working at the company. The organisation offers good work flexibility with a hybrid working model, and provides an appreciated graduate program that offers valuable experience and skill development. Additionally, employees value the office facilities and competitive compensation package.

However, employees note several areas for improvement, including limited career development opportunities and structured progression paths. The workload management can be challenging, with high caseloads and pressure to meet deadlines with limited resources. There are also concerns about hierarchical decision-making and frequent management changes, along with inconsistent processes that can impact project delivery and team efficiency.

Please stay away as far as you can. The salary is not worth it.
The good thingsPay is really good and nice perks
The challengesExtreme micromanagement, constant criticism and management always changing the goal posts. Not acknowledged for good work. During training from L&D, the trainers were very condescending and looked down on you. So much politics as well as unfair treatment. You're just a number to them. Also a ridiculous amount of workload.

A Stepping Stone, Not a Career. High Pressure, Low Support.
The good thingsFriendly colleagues, good office location and facilities.
The challengesWorking at TAL can be challenging, and it’s important for potential employees to go in with eyes wide open. The main issues lie in career development and culture. There is virtually no structured career progression, training, or mentorship, which makes it difficult to grow professionally. Staff turnover is very high—many people leave because they don’t feel supported or developed. Processes are either missing or poorly managed, meaning you often get pushed very hard to deliver campaigns or projects, only for them to be cancelled or postponed without clear explanation. This creates a lot of wasted effort and frustration. The company operates with a strong focus on revenue, sometimes at the expense of staff wellbeing. Employee experience doesn’t feel like a priority, and many middle managers lack leadership skills—some are in roles simply because of long tenure rather than proven capability. If you are looking for a workplace that invests in people, you may be disappointed.
