What’s it like working at Servcorp?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Servcorp offers a supportive and collaborative environment where employees value the close-knit team culture and opportunities for professional development. The extensive training programme is highly regarded, and many appreciate the chance to build meaningful client relationships in premium office spaces. The company provides opportunities for career progression and offers a professional working environment with supportive colleagues.

However, the role demands significant commitment, with long working hours and high workload expectations that can impact work-life balance. The company structure, with distance between locations and head office, can create communication challenges, while some employees find performance targets demanding. Understaffing at locations can lead to increased responsibilities and pressure on team members.

I’ve been incredibly impressed by the level of investment they put into their people.
The good thingsI’ve recently joined Servcorp, and I couldn't have asked for a better start. From day one, the team has been incredibly encouraging and lovely, making the transition into a new role seamless. There is a genuine sense of community here, and it’s clear that management prioritizes a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
The challengesThe role comes with a high level of responsibility from early on. Because of the premium nature of the service we provide, you need to stay focused and truly care about the quality of your work. It’s not a place for someone looking to just coast if you aren't passionate about what you do or can't maintain focus, you won't get the most out of the experience.

If you have no personality, want low pay & thrive from being micromanaged, then Servcorp is for you
The good thingsThe clients and office views
The challengesManagement are super unprofessional. They spend most of their time gossiping to each other about their team or head office, and if you ever need support- they’ll do nothing to help. Clients don’t know who the floor management are as they don’t make effort with them, meaning you’ll get heaps of unhappy clients come to you needing help with over-charged invoices or office issues. The staff turn over is crazy high, making it a very unstable work place- this is also something clients constantly will comment on. Very toxic work place, avoid.

The CEO has created a fear-driven, toxic culture (think The Devil Wears Prada). Ruthless staff compete to climb the ranks, creating an incredible toxic and draining environment. Employee retention is abysmal, with full team turnover at least twice a year. Employees are trained to charge clients for minor tasks such as opening the door and fixing their chairs, prioritising money over building relationships. Head office offers no support, you’re either favoured through personal connections or singled out. So unethical and wrong.
The good thingsI am writing for the sake of writing. Nothing
The challengesUpper management completely out of touch and favour the account managers they’re good friends with out of work
