How has the RFBI evolved to remain relevant today? The RFBI was founded in 1880 to assist the poor and needy at a time when there were no government funded social welfare programs. Over 130 years later, this role is still being undertaken; albeit to a much lesser degree, through our annuity scheme. We have also introduced a Benevolence Assistance Program, where special cases of need are identified, assessed and assistance granted. All donations through the Lodges as well as many other forms of donations are expended in these areas, free of all administration costs. In other words, each dollar given to the RFBI is donated in total to a worthy cause.Source: This is an extract from the company's own website.

What’s it like working at RFBI?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees enjoy working with the residents and clients, who are friendly and appreciative of the care provided. Many note that colleagues are hard-working and supportive, and appreciate the flexibility to choose working hours that suit their personal circumstances. The pay is good, with salary packaging benefits, and the working environment is generally friendly.

However, there are some potential challenges, including management not always being visible on the floor and sometimes difficult to deal with, under-resourced teams with staffing shortages, demanding workload with time pressures and overwhelming computer work, limited career progression opportunities, and an old-fashioned workplace culture with some cliques amongst staff.
