The good thingsSome friendly team members who were approachable and willing to help. The organisation's values seem fantastic on paper.

The challengesA more structured and consistent leadership approach is needed to improve communication, clarify expectations, and more effectively support staff performance. There is a significant gap in psychosocial awareness, empathy and accountability. This is not true of every single staff member, but more the culture and the standard.

Unsupported and feeling really unsafe in my time here

The good thingsLovely kids and some really nice people to work with that are trying their best

The challengesI wouldn't normal write a review but if I can help one person I want to. This was a really unsafe and poor supportive place to work. Don't bring up any issues or they will make your life hard, I honestly won't work in disability service again because of how i was treated here.

The good thingsfirst worked at Mpower from 1999 to 2012, and in 2025 I returned because of its outstanding reputation in the south-west community for supporting people with disabilities and their families—a reputation that has continued for more than 50 years. Throughout my experience, Mpower has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the values of respect, quality, learning, and empowerment. The organization has provided me with opportunities for extensive training and advancement into higher duties. What stands out most is the dedication of the staff, who work collaboratively to help clients and the community reach their full potential. For anyone seeking to make a meaningful impact, I genuinely recommend considering a career with Mpower.
