What’s it like working at Juniper?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Juniper find great satisfaction in working with residents and value the meaningful nature of providing aged care. The workplace relationships among colleagues are generally positive, with staff describing their co-workers as supportive and dedicated. The organisation also provides opportunities for learning and development through various training programs.

However, there are several operational challenges that affect the workplace experience. Thrive on creating stress? Not caring who you tread on as you climb to the top? This is for you.
The good thingsWhen this place was less corporate, it did have a family feel. Then things changed. Big is not always best.
The challengesSome (not all) highly super-toxic management. I don't think I've ever met such nasty individual(s). Aged care like disability is a busy, stressful, underfunded, under skilled (I'm talking senior leaders) industry that will never change, despite the often good intentions.

A façade - that's what this place is. You come in thinking everyone is part of a family, and maybe they are. But because you've just arrived, you are the only person there who isn't part of the family. And they make sure you know it.
The good thingsI love the residents, they are wonderful people.
The challengesJuniper has no neurodivergence support in place. The closest thing they have is sending you to communication training, which is just asking you to be someone else. Telling an autistic person to talk like everyone else is not "support" in any way.
