    So glad I quit.
The good thingsThe communities you work in. There’s amazing people doing great things in a lot of smaller communities.
The challengesWorking from home. Executive leadership that have not set foot in regional territory but think they know best. No support. Stressful KPIs.

Disappointing, Didn't want to go to work every day.
The good thingsworking with clients and the ability to leave the office. Commission opportunities + Training opportunities through News Corp.
The challengesComing from News Corp over to an APN publication that news had recently acquired was extremely challenging. APN are set in their ways, are not open to change or innovative ideas and suggestions. After being with News for near 6 years - I lasted 9 weeks at an APN masthead. It was a very disappointing end to what had been a very rewarding and successful earning career with News Corp. Package and product pushing rather than solution selling leads to disgruntled clients. The office culture was cold and unmotivated. \"Don't talk on the sales floor, and how dare you have a good time at work\" mentality is not a good place for good sales people to be.

    Sub-Editor in Editorial.

I learned a great deal and improved my skills over the time but cut backs affected the quality of the product.
The good thingsI loved the sub-editing work and finding quirky stories. The people I worked with mostly were wonderful.
The challengesSome editors did not have a good attitude towards the journalists. It was difficult to overcome the 'us' and 'them' mindset of the different sections of the business.
