What’s it like working at APIA?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at APIA appreciate the good work/life balance, with flexibility to work from home and standard hours. The benefits, such as discounts on insurance products, and the supportive team environment with recognition for efforts are also highlighted as positives. Additionally, the training provided, both initial and ongoing, is viewed favourably.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as concerns about low pay compared to the level of responsibility and expectations. Meeting sales targets can be difficult, with high expectations and pressure. There are also instances of unsupportive management behaviour and lack of understanding of roles. Furthermore, the work environment, particularly being on the phone for extended periods, can be mentally and emotionally draining at times.

An organisation masquerading as client centred when all the management care about us their own bonuses. Pushy and inept trainers who really should be trained in how to train. Stay away and save yourself a lot of grief. Backward thinking and archaic company.
The good thingsSome of the staff are really nice.
The challengesOutdated systems. Extremely low pay. High targets. Lots of pressure and stress. Some management and trainers have no idea how to treat people. A high turnover in staff.

Good work/life balance but hardly any opportunities for career development.
The good thingsWork/life balance is great as you end up working from home which is great. The perks are fantastic with huge discount on all insurances.
The challengesBasically you get paid minimum wage. You work hard and get very little in the way of bonus either.
