About the role

This is a high-impact, onsite Executive Assistant & Business Support role for someone who understands how a business runs — not just how to manage a calendar. You'll be trusted with real responsibility and expected to run with it: following through on commitments, flagging issues early, and being upfront the moment something goes wrong.

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively track, manage, and follow up on the Managing Director's key priorities — through to completion, not just kick-off

  • Liaise with internal leaders to make sure deadlines and commitments are actually met

  • Drive accountability across teams and escalate where needed

  • Support business costings, reporting, and analysis in Excel

  • Coordinate HR admin — performance review tracking, leave oversight, workforce planning, onboarding support

  • Provide general business and personal administrative support

  • Spot process improvements and help evolve the role over time

  • Flag issues, delays, or mistakes as soon as they happen — including your own

About you

  • Experience supporting senior leaders or business owners in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

  • A genuine track record of reliability — deadlines met, tasks finished, commitments honoured

  • Strong initiative — comfortable making decisions and acting without being told

  • Total honesty and transparency, including raising your own mistakes before someone else finds them

  • Solid commercial judgement and business acumen

  • Intermediate–advanced Excel skills

  • Confidence across Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, OneNote, Teams, Office)

  • Sharp attention to detail and a highly organised approach

  • Nice to have: exposure to HR and/or business operations
