What’s it like working at Zarraffa's Coffee?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues at Zarraffa's Coffee, with many noting that the team environment feels like a family. Staff members enjoy building relationships with regular customers, which provides a sense of fulfilment. The training provided when starting is thorough and ongoing, and employees value the staff benefits including free coffee during shifts. The fast-paced environment helps shifts go by quickly and offers opportunities to develop new skills.

However, there are some potential challenges. Many employees have noted that management can be difficult to work with, with issues around communication and decision-making. Work/life balance can be challenging due to inconsistent rostering and demanding shift patterns including early starts and late finishes. Some staff have experienced micromanagement and frequent check-ups. Several employees have indicated that shift allocation can vary, and opportunities for growth within the company may be limited. Additionally, understaffing during busy periods can make it challenging to maintain speed and consistency.
