Dilapidated work environment It offers a fair wage and is relatively family friendly. Negatives include that the campuses are so dilapidated and neglected that they are a safety risk. There was flooding of a whole floor on a Hobart campus and a case of carbon monoxide poisoning where people ended up in hospital. This year they have had to shut off part of a campus due to unstable asbestos. The other issue is the lack of smart decision making and competent project implementation. Staff are currently suffering through a massive IT transition which has been bungled in many ways and is making some work tasks nearly impossible to complete in a timely manner.
Senior Talent PartnerThank you for your feedback and for recognising our fair wages and family-friendly conditions - we believe these are strong aspects of our workplace, as reflected in many other reviews. We recognise there have been some unexpected challenges at our Hobart campus. These are being managed, with transparent communication and a focus on safety and continuity for our staff. Our current IT migration is part of a broader effort to enhance the digital experience for both staff and learners. Like many large-scale projects, it has come with its challenges. It is well progressed, and we appreciate the patience and adaptability of our staff as this work is undertaken.

A motivating occupation that comes with a growing team and great benefits.
The good thingsThe influence you have as a teacher at motivating students to achieve goals in a trade that I'm so passionate about. The culture is fantastic amongst the staff here and there's a real sense of belonging. A fantastic work life balance is provided which is great for anyone with a young family.
The challengesThe challenges are typically the students which change so frequently, so as a teacher you learn to adapt and overcome each problem or issue that arises.
