The good thingsThe atmosphere is fantastic, and team leads are supportive. Interesting work. Fieldwork overtime pay is good.
The challengesSalary tends to be mediocre compared to similar sized Perth consultancies. This leads to a pretty high turnover rate of low-mid level staff, and they seem more willing to pay a new hire a much higher starting rate than invest more in current staff. The work is 40 hour weeks, and staff frequently burn out. Compared with competitors who usually work 37.5 hour weeks, this also adds 3 extra weeks of work a year, making the salary even less competitive. Upper management refuses to budge on this.

The challengesIncompetent people who have risen to top management have no clue on business operations and run the company like a bank. High levels of staff frustration due to drafting work outsourced to India with no supervision, extremely poor quality of work. Junior staff who recently hired keep enjoying promotions while staff who have been in the company for long time are ignored and zero career advancement. Expect to work very long hours with no compensation. High staff turnover as they get burned out. Pay all interstate trips with your own money, no budget for travel, training, courses, the list goes on and on.
