What’s it like working at Skilltech?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Skilltech appreciate several aspects of their work, including the flexible working arrangements that allow them to manage their own schedules. The role offers significant autonomy, with the freedom to work independently and at their own pace. Many value the outdoor nature of the work and the opportunity to stay active throughout the day. The company provides all necessary equipment and uniforms needed for the job.

However, there are some workplace challenges to consider. Working in various weather conditions can be demanding, and field workers face daily challenges such as encounters with dogs and difficult meter box access. Some employees note that communication with management could be improved, particularly regarding schedules and field support. Additionally, some workers feel the compensation structure could better reflect the demands of the role.

The good thingsThere really is nothing to be desired about this job
The challengesI had no support in my first week, never heard from my supervisor and big miscommunications between staff. I was told I could do a couple of routes to ease into things by trainer, then was told by supervisor I had started off really badly by not doing all routes which turned me off. I had a day off due to not sleeping well and was instantly told now we are behind schedule and lectured about the position made to feel I should leave. Was told by supervisor that my trainer had told him I wasn't sure about him or the position, after hearing this I find it toxic that he then mentioned this to me through txt as well. Not worth the training and effort for such little pay too. Unprofessional txt messages and management

Overall I have really enjoyed this job. The flexibility to start your day when you wish to start and the fitness that comes with it. This job can be tough at times and like every company room for improvement. If you like working alone and are fit I would definitely recommend this job.
    The good thingsFlexibility, fitness, outdoors
    The challengesWeather conditions, dogs.
