What’s it like working at RODE?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at RODE appreciate the friendly colleagues and good work atmosphere, along with interesting and challenging projects using the latest technologies. The autonomy to own projects and make an impact is valued, as are the attractive perks like free gym and breakfast. The on-site manufacturing facility provides unique learning opportunities, and there are good career development prospects with above-average pay.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about management practices and the need for more supportive leadership in certain areas. The fast-paced environment can feel chaotic at times, with tight deadlines and high pressure. Organisation and documentation could be improved, and as a rapidly expanding company, RODE experiences some growing pains with resources stretched across departments.

Overall, the culture has become very negative and demoralising.
The good thingsThe company used to have a good-quality product, and the marketing team did a good job promoting it. Unfortunately, many experienced and talented specialists have now been made redundant. A lot of valuable expertise has been lost, while the focus seems to have shifted towards reducing labour costs and retaining top management. For many years, the company was blind and did nothing to compete with Chinese competitors.
The challengesThe company is not doing well, largely due to poor management decisions made over recent years. People are made redundant with little or no notice and treated as if their contribution meant nothing. The environment has become extremely toxic and demotivating. There is no work-from-home flexibility and the workplace feels more like a prison. There is very little around the office, and employees have to scan their cards when entering and leaving, which contributes to a feeling of being constantly monitored rather than trusted. There seems to be very little trust in employees and limited investment in people. I would stay away if you have other options.

    Great Staff but Selfish Management
The good thingsThe regular staff members
The challengesHaving to work with a DC manager who has no idea and does not respect the employees at all. His main priority is himself.

If you want to make money, you can work here cause they have a lot of overtime. If you want to grow up in your career, do not work here.
The good thingsYou can earn lots of money if you accept to do overtime.
The challengesVery bad management. Managers don't know anything, I found some people are not qualified or have the relevant degree.
