Strong testing team, but management, pay progression, and offshore coordination need improvement.

The good thingsI enjoyed working with the local testing team. The team members were supportive, knowledgeable, and collaborative. There was a strong focus on quality and good testing practices, and I learned a lot from working with experienced testers. The immediate team environment was positive and people were willing to help each other.

The challengesCoordination with the offshore team could be improved, as quality and delivery expectations were not always aligned, which sometimes created additional work for the local team. Leadership and communication from upper management could also be clearer. Another area for improvement is salary progression. Pay is generally below market standards for similar roles in the industry. Regular appraisal would also help, as some employees have been working in the organisation for several years without salary progression.

Potentially good place to work, but massively let down by poor culture, poor management decision making, lack of innovation, and lower than average pay. Would not recommend.

The good thingsThere are some genuinely good people that work there. They also have products that have potential.

The challengesManagement are not good and if you dare have an opposing view to management strategy and share it, you're shunned. There are a lot of 'yes' people in middle-management who simply want to appease upper-management decisions. The people who actually do the work get far less recognition than they deserve. The culture is poor, even though the words spoken about it sound convincing. A lot of virtue signaling about culture building from HR, but it's not reflected in day-to-day. Remuneration is below average and training/support/career development is limited (at best). Innovation is talked about at a product level and process level, but if you ever share an innovative idea that goes against the norm, it's labelled as disruptive and not taken seriously.
