In 1977, cookie pioneer Debbi Fields wasn’t trying to create the gourmet cookie boom, she was simply impassioned about making the finest oven fresh cookie possible. It was all about taking control of her life. So Debbi Fields, a young mother with no business experience, opened her first cookie store in Palo Alto, California in 1977.They told her she was crazy. No business could survive just selling cookies. However humble beginnings launched Debbi into a worldwide celebrity and made her company, Mrs. Fields, the premier chain of cookie stores across the world offering a singularly indulgent treat time and again.Debbi is no longer directly associated with the company but continues to be an icon in business across the world. Her motto remains with the company “Good Enough Never Is” reflecting our uncompromising dedication to our customer’s experience. We accomplish this by delivering the highest quality cookies, muffins, brownies and other fresh baked goodies. Our signature products include tempting cookies, brownies, and muffins, which are baked continuously throughout the day and served fresh at each of our locations. In Australia you can enjoy your treat with a cup of coffee made from our freshly roasted and ground coffee blend.Today there are over 500 Mrs. Fields stores around the world and you can also buy Mrs. Fields branded products on the internet and in selected major retailers. At Mrs. Fields, a tradition of excellence means, ‘It’s all about the treat.’Source: This is an extract from the company's own website.

    A good first job
The good thingsThe job itself I loved, especially as a first job. The team I worked with were amazing, and got along so well, it made coming into work easier. It’s not too overwhelming as it’s a small store, and nothing is overly complicated either.
The challengesThere weren’t too many challenges working for the company themselves, it was more internal through management. Even then everything was pretty good.
