If the term "clownshoes" was a company, it'd be Mounties Care Mobility & Independence.
The good thingsThe people I worked with in the warehouse and the retail store were fantastic. If it wasn't for them, I'd have left a lot earlier.
The challenges-Complete disregard for staff safety. No care given about unsafe load handling, heavy lifting, unsafe forklift condition, containers being unloaded by hand in direct sunlight on uneven ground, van maintenance and repairs are ignored until something breaks. -Systems used incorrectly and refusal to change processes to improve workflow & throughput. -Consistent unrealistic expectations. -Accusations of non-achievement when they have no systems in place for tracking anything. -No KPIs and no way to track them even if they did. -No overtime and TIL is not tracked. Staff member told to take a sick day when asking to use their TIL. -Constantly taking staff away from the warehouse to fill in at other sites, to our detriment (only 2 full-time staff and a driver in the warehouse), but no thought given to the warehouse deadlines. -The most disorganised company I have ever worked for.

    Rock n Roll 🤘
The good thingsCustomers, location, uniform provided, staff discounts, staff incentives, gift cards and bonuses on top of pay for public holidays, especially over Christmas period, friendly HR team.. cover everything before commencement, young and vibrant staff. I worked at both Manly and Freshwater venues and loved both.
The challengesRemembering that RSL (corporate hospitality) runs a little differently from your average bar or restaurant venue. Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. Busy periods and such.
