At the start it was a great place to work, but as the years go on and you get more involved learning the company, it's flaws, pros, cons are pretty clear and evident. Can see why some higher tier things failed early when they were quite feasible. Training in house during my time was very poor. External 'training' was a waste. Good place to work i guess, just don't get too invested as you won't get far or you'll get overloaded. Good to see they are finally catching up with pay rates.
The good thingsMostly great staff, easy to get along with & work as a team. Work environment was pretty good, worked with some top notch blokes.
The challengesMaking improvements, trying to make changes & increase efficiencies, getting buy-in for such things, getting enough support from people above you or even any at all. A lot of staff struggle with or avoid interactions with HR. Getting uniforms! Too lenient on trouble makers. Poor opinions lead to good performers leaving or being pushed out, again due to poor support & structure.
