What’s it like working at John Sands?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees value the flexible working hours at John Sands, which helps them balance work with family commitments. The autonomy of working independently and setting their own schedules is appreciated, along with supportive colleagues and the variety in daily work that comes from visiting different locations.

However, there are some potential challenges, including inconsistent management communication with calls and emails sometimes going unanswered, and the difficulty of completing work within allocated time, particularly during busy seasonal periods. Some employees have also noted limited hours available, few opportunities for career progression, and regular organisational restructures that can affect workplace stability.

    Not worth the grief.
The good thingsThe clients I visited and managing a team of merchandisers was a privilege.
The challengesMicromanaged by the state manager at the time, been pitted against colleagues, being given unachievable goals, having account manages working against you, having insufficient resources to perform large projects, loosing excellent merchandisers because of the companies' minimum hours policy, over-supply of stock, wastage, lack of cohesiveness between us and UK Greetings.
