Good for the short run to gain knowledge and experience at an operational level within FMCG. However the Toy industry is at an all time low with lack of innovation and brand awareness. Horrific manual processes that add no value to the role that can cause boredom, lack of motivation and high rate of mistakes.
The good things-Diverse and equal opportunity environment that welcomes everyone -Half day Fridays -Global Day of Joy to give back to the community -5 days extra "wellness" leave for peace of mind -Flexible work arrangements
The challenges-No localisation in decision making for local market - everything is dictated by the US, marketing team is almost non-existent, more product management than actual creative marketing -Heavy manual processes that are quite embarrassing for a billion dollar company -Too many parties involved in decision making, approvals from upper management take too long -Lack of communication between departments causing disruption to flow of business -Sales team lack of understanding for basic operational processes creates everything to be urgent when not -No standardisation of processes among customers -Doing ad hoc tasks that are not part of the job role requested by sales team as they pretend not knowing the systems in place
