What’s it like working at FedEx?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees consistently appreciate their colleagues and co-workers, noting that they are supportive, friendly, and create a strong team environment where people look out for each other. The pay rates are noted as good to fantastic, and many enjoy the fast-paced environment that keeps work interesting and helps build operational experience. Some employees also value the work/life balance and the culture of teamwork and mateship at FedEx.

However, there are some potential challenges. Management practices are frequently mentioned, with employees noting that upper management can be impersonal and that support and communication may be inconsistent. Many employees feel they are treated as numbers rather than individuals, with concerns about staff retention and recognition. Training and support can be inconsistent, and career growth opportunities may be limited in some parts of the company. The work can be physically demanding with high productivity expectations, and the merger between TNT and FedEx has resulted in some systems that need updating. Additionally, equipment and vehicles may require better maintenance.

Terrible! You’re mental health is more important
The good thingsPay can be good, when you work hard.
The challengesLack of care for full time employees, good workers beware, you’ll be thrown to the wolves and run into the ground. You’ll be taken advantage of until you quit. Upper management don’t care about you, just another number. It’s a wonder staff retention rate is so low. From the outside it might look good, but don’t fall for it.

Fast-paced role with good opportunities to learn, step up, and build real operational experience.
The good thingsGood team environment and fast-paced work which keeps things interesting. Gained strong experience in both warehouse operations and control room monitoring, with opportunities to step up into a leadership role. Solid place to build work ethic, learn how operations run, and develop under pressure.
The challengesWork can be physically demanding and fast-paced, especially during busy periods. Communication can sometimes be inconsistent, and shifts can vary which may affect routine. More structure and consistency would improve overall workflow.
