    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the flexible working arrangements at ElectraNet, with the ability to adjust schedules as needed. Colleagues are friendly and supportive, with many noting they have built strong relationships and lifelong friendships. The work/life balance is good, and compensation is fair and competitive. Employees also enjoy the diverse and interesting work, with exposure to many projects and opportunities to work in the field.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as management being inconsistent in decision-making and communication. 1 star employer overall.
The good thingsPay is slowly catching up with industry after unions help negotiate last Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
The challengesSenior Management & Executives take accountability for poor culture. They say behaviour and culture is important to them but they do not address unprofessional behaviour.

Can't be a generalist here, if you like close knit team environments it's not for you.
The good thingsThe benefits, flexibility, leadership are supportive
The challengesThe HR team had so many employees and so many layers, we were all very busy doing our own tiny part of the function. No ability to be a generalist here. Minimal teamwork or collaboration. Never see your colleagues as when you go to the city, everyone's working from home or just in back-to-back meetings all day. Very isolating, not good if you have a personality which likes social interaction and building relationships. HR managers can't be managers as they are trapped in the functional. I just remember meeting after meeting after meeting and seeing my leaders being so busy. Hopefully it can change for the better, but I was just the wrong fit for this particular role and organisation.

Not recommended as a long term employer, fine for short term stepping stone to somewhere better.
The good thingsGood office location, interesting industry.
The challengesTerrible performance management of staff, top heavy and micro-managed. Executives refuse to listen to staff, and rely on willful ignorance and surprise when issues are raised, ultimately falling back to denial and refusal. Execs appointed by friendship rather than capability. No training or staff development available.
