What’s it like working at Dusk?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees value the supportive team environment at Dusk, with many forming friendships with colleagues and enjoying customer interactions. The staff discount and opportunity to work with beautiful, fragrant products are appreciated, along with training opportunities provided through on-the-job learning and online resources.

However, there are some potential challenges, including communication between head office and stores that could be improved, KPI expectations that some find demanding, and workload that can involve unpaid overtime. Some employees experienced limited hours during quieter periods and felt that initial training could be more comprehensive.

    Don't join the circus.
The good thingsDusk was amazing when I first started. The leadership was there and culture as well. Its sad that I can't say the same since the change of ceo and new leadership within the company. It was the culture i provided within my store that kept me working for the company. I did enjoy the products as well and the discount that came along with it.
The challengesIt is ridiculous the expectations this company holds on staff within the stores. They expect every task to be completed (excessive deliveries, signage changes, ves changes, serving customers) and stores to look immaculate with minimal staffing hours. (Usually one manager on all day with a 3 hour cover) Expect you to come in earlier for big ves changes and cut your hours else where which is impossible at times. The challenges this company has is within head office as this is a spiralling effect. They don't do enough recognition for the people in store. Wasn't even recognised for my 10 years which is appalling, really made me feel valued. Not. Communication is all over the place. Operations are out of whack. Leadership team. Dont even get me started on that. The turn over is extremely high. A couple of times incentives were not provided due to "it was worded incorrectly" and this excuse was given after the incentive period when we didn't receive it.

The challengesEVERYTHING! From HQ to POS and everyone in between. I have never witnessed such toxicity in such brutal acts from a leadership team in 15 years in management.
