What’s it like working at Datacom?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees value the supportive colleagues and collaborative culture at Datacom, along with flexible working arrangements and good benefits including health insurance and competitive pay. The modern office facilities and supportive managers who provide career guidance also contribute to a positive working experience.

However, there are some potential challenges, including opportunities for improvement in senior leadership and decision-making processes, limited internal career progression with external hiring sometimes prioritised, and project resourcing and definition that could be strengthened. Some employees have also noted the organisational structure and delivery practices could be modernised.

Good experience, but disconnected and financially driven management.
The good thingsThe people and customers I worked with were the most enjoyable part of the role. Many colleagues were talented, compassionate and supportive, and building positive relationships with customers made the work meaningful.
The challengesThere are too many highly paid layers of senior management focused on cutting costs to make the financial results look better. Meanwhile, employee concerns pass through managers with limited authority, where they may be softened, filtered out or never reach the senior leaders making the decisions. This creates a disconnect between leadership and the people doing the actual work.
