What’s it like working at Coles Group?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues at Coles Group, noting that team members create a positive working environment. Staff value opportunities to learn new skills through training and diverse tasks, as well as flexible rostering options and recognition of their work by management.

However, there are some potential challenges, including varying management approaches across stores, with some employees experiencing micromanagement and communication issues. Workload can be demanding during peak times, particularly when staffing levels are stretched. Some staff note that career progression opportunities can be limited, and rostering systems may provide short notice of shifts, whilst performance expectations and closely monitored metrics can create pressure.

    Great services team, terrible management.
The good thingsdon’t think the word “enjoy” exists at Coles Coburg North. Easily the worst workplace I’ve experienced. Constant micromanagement, bad behaviour from store management, and a culture of blaming cleaning staff instead of taking accountability. The only positive was my Coles Services team and my Area Manager—they were excellent. Everything else was a complete disappointment.
The challengesIf I had a list it would take me a few years to write it down
