What’s it like working at CMV Group?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues at CMV Group, noting that the team environment makes work enjoyable. The caring culture, fostered by the family ownership, creates a supportive atmosphere with staff events and occasional bonuses. Reviewers also value the good work/life balance, sensible workloads, and quality facilities that contribute to a positive work environment.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as management requiring additional training and improved communication. Some employees have found that career advancement requires persistence, with promotions occasionally based on tenure rather than merit. A few staff members have noted that salaries could be more competitive and that hard work isn't always recognised appropriately. Additionally, there is a desire for more ongoing training and professional development opportunities, and certain roles can experience demanding workloads, particularly with paperwork and customer demands.

Could have been my dream job. Bloomed once out at a new place.
The good thingsThe parent company was fine. Solid team looking after them, allowing them to stay in business so long. The older generation of Crawford's were good value; really cared about their industries. Some good work mates. Good tooling and equipment.
The challengesThe site management. Never knew if we were going to get our heads bitten off. Foreman was a bitter, twisted fellow with zero people skills. Could have been an awesome job if the management at the site were decent human beings. Director simply pushed all complaints under a very dusty, crusty carpet. Would NEVER allow my children to work there, though now qualified techs. Industry destroys techs at the best of times, no need for management on the floor dig their heel into you.

Abhorrent, disgusting, toxic, boys club, misogynistic behaviour and culture.
The good thingsNothing good. Went through 4 service advisors / customer facing employees for them to initiate a pay rise to “help staff retention” you couldn’t pay me enough to stay there.
The challengesToxic, unprofessional and incompetent leadership. NO managerial support. Co workers distant and no morale. Constantly unhappy staff. No career opportunities, no work life balance. Disgusting behaviour and language from management to staff and customers. Expectations vary from person to person, standards and values not upheld. Ironic for a family owned company who “live and breathe” company values. Only apply here if you want your hard work and dedication to go unnoticed. It took resigning to see how bad the culture was. I was the longest standing frontline worker, after going through 3 service managers and 5 service advisors in the span of 3 years is categorically abhorrent. The most senior and experienced front line worker and I had only been there 3 years. There is something systematically wrong with this company of CMI Toyota. The reviews speak for themselves.
