What’s it like working at Ausgrid?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Ausgrid offers several compelling benefits that employees value highly, including competitive compensation packages with good superannuation and RDOs, contributing to positive work-life balance. The company is recognised for its excellent training programs, particularly in safety and technical skills, and employees consistently praise their knowledgeable colleagues and the technical expertise within teams.

However, the organisation faces some challenges, particularly around management practices and decision-making processes. The impact of privatisation and restructuring has created uncertainty for some employees, while bureaucratic processes can sometimes hinder efficiency and change implementation.

Your experience will vary with your business area.
The good thingsSome teams are fantastic to work with. Some bosses are also great. They also offer flexibility in working from home if your role allows it. Contract rates seem to be pretty much on market.
The challengesDepends on the area of the business. Some, I didn't have challenges. But, like most companies IT seems to always go through those waves of cost cutting and outsourcing the work. It can make getting things done very difficult, and not very secure.

Wasn’t able to give zero stars for zero competency of upper management!!!
The good thingsThe light switch still worked in the office… only because the team kept it working
The challengesWhere to start… the management are toxic and are putting the staff under massive duress. There is a reason the safety record of late is so poor. It’s not because of better reporting but because of poor management. There is only so much AI can do for the incompetent management and it will soon crumble.
