What’s it like working at AFL?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate their supportive and friendly colleagues, the excellent perks and benefits including free football tickets and memberships, and the engaging and dynamic work in an exciting industry. Many also value the good compensation in certain roles and opportunities for internal promotion.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about senior leadership and management styles, difficulties with work/life balance during busy periods with expectations of long hours, compensation that may not always match workload, limited support from the People and Culture team, and a demanding workplace culture with high expectations.

Great Perks, Some poor senior leaders, and HR (People and culture) team
The good thingsThe people at my level or below were generally very good to work with. Work was interesting Good perks
The challengesSome quite senior leaders can be challenging to work with due to their leadership and communication styles, which can at times make collaboration difficult. The People and Culture team has been one of the least supportive HR functions I have encountered in my career. There is a widely held perception that the team holds significant influence within the organisation, has behaviours that can undermine trust, which may contribute to a reluctance among many to approach , challenge or question their decisions.

A great place for footy nuts to live out their career dream and be rewarded.
The good thingsThe staff were all pulling in the same direction, and whilst outside factors could be annoying, the team I worked with and around were excellent. Great job for a passionate footy head. Promotions from within were great, so was the remuneration.
The challengesObviously in every role there are leaders that maybe shouldn't be in their roles, but otherwise a great place to work.
