Toxic culture, poor facialist training, and no genuine support at Aesop. The good things50% discount on products.
The challengesMy experience at Aesop has been extremely disappointing. The culture is toxic, with little transparency or genuine support. Facials training was poorly managed and led by Lisa Reynolds, whose approach felt more like intimidation than guidance. When I became unwell, I was denied the chance to complete my training or receive clarity on next steps. Instead of support, I was cornered, pushed out, and ultimately terminated under unfair pretences. Management, particularly Maryann Walker, appeared disingenuous, with no support from my store manager, and my probation review and termination letter contained inaccuracies seemingly designed to protect the company rather than reflect reality. Aesop promotes values it does not practice, and I share this to raise awareness for others considering employment here.
