What’s it like working at Aeris Resources?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at Aeris Resources appreciate the friendly and welcoming team culture, with many highlighting the supportive and collaborative nature of their colleagues. The FIFO arrangements from Brisbane and Sunshine Coast are well-regarded, particularly as travel occurs during company time. Staff enjoy the variety of work available and the opportunity to take on diverse tasks, with some noting career growth opportunities as the company expands.

However, there are some potential challenges, including inconsistent management with frequent changes in middle management and varying levels of support. Several employees mention that pay and benefits could be more competitive, though salaries appear to be in line with other tier 2 mining operations. Equipment and resources are not always the newest, and there can be delays in obtaining necessary upgrades. Some staff have experienced communication challenges between departments, and the 5:2 4:3 roster is not ideal for all employees, with some preferring more balanced arrangements.

    Good start for your career
The good thingsTeam work. Support from management team on site. Autonomy to perform your work duties. High benefit for residential employees when compared to peers. Opportunity to learn more and quick, as you end up doing more than one role (often).
The challengesHigh turn over. Financial struggle more often then desired. Lack of career development pathway. Long commute to site (you sleep in your bed as a regional employee, but it takes 50min each way, adding up to 12h on site).

They need to pay better to attract professionals into key roles, you can't pay below pay scale and expect mining industry professionals to stay, they will keep limping along u til they learn this.
The good thingsNot a lot, they want culture but on the cheap
The challengesAbsolutely great workforce but the turn over was appalling
