The good thingsThis place was my entry to white collar work, so I appreciate the professional development received. I also met some great people who continue to be my friends.
The challengesIf I listed everything wrong with ADT, I would exceed the word count 10 times over. I am instead going to list what you might expect if you were to be accepted into one of their advertised roles.
Monitoring (Customer Service): Your team is perpetually understaffed. Talking to angry customers who have been on hold 20+ minutes is a normal occurrence. You're expected to troubleshoot tech issues while receiving no training.
Sales: You don't get paid commission. There is a commission structure present, but it's not there to reward and encourage you, it's just a reason to not pay you commission because KPIs are unreachable even amongst seasoned staff. Even creating a quote is a challenge due to poor CRM management and integration, and no manager seems to care.
Service Coordinator: Every customer wants their install done yesterday but technician availabilities are up to 2 months. Every install seems to take several visits and produce a complaint, which you're expected to resolve.

Bunch of cowboys running a get rich quick scheme having done no due diligence on the market.
The good thingsBeing able to get out of the office & meet clients.
The challengesProviding sales reps with existing services training. No support from technical department. Security systems basic knowledge. Internal procedures/documentation required to complete the sales process. A CRM platform to generate quotes. Who our suppliers are. Where to obtain current pricing. A written commission/incentive scheme. What our KPI's are. None of these critical points were ever provided resulting in a self-taught, trial & error, sink or swim reality. GM provides no help just agrees to everything you say, after 2.5 months they fire you thinking someone else might make a difference only to repeat the same process. 5 reps across country were sacked in the 2.5 months I worked there & we only had 6 reps in our team. Absolute waste of 3 months of my life.
