Recruitment Advisor
KAEFER is seeking a hands-on, motivated Recruitment Advisor to join our team full-time.
Based out of Naval Base, the role, will be responsible for sourcing, hiring, and onboarding skilled blue-collar workers across Australia to support Kaefer's project and operational requirements. You'll play a key part in ensuring support of KAEFER's compliance and strong team culture with every hire.
Reporting to the People & Culture General Manager, you'll need to be organised, reliable, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a challenge and takes pride in delivering quality service.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across multiple trades including scaffolders, boilermakers, welders, riggers, mechanical fitters, electricians and sheet metal workers to support ongoing project and shutdown requirements.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for high-volume trade roles, including job briefing, advertising, sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and offer management in line with KAEFER and client mobilisation standards.
Apply a solid understanding of high-volume recruitment practices, including targeted trade advertising, rapid screening, and efficient interview processes to meet tight deadlines.
Coordinate recruitment across multiple projects and sites simultaneously with competing priorities and urgent workforce demands.
Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely updates, and support throughout recruitment and mobilisation.
Adhere to a strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality, compliance and professionalism requirements.
Oversee mobilisation processes including verification of trade qualifications, tickets (e.g. WAH, Confined Space, HRWL), medicals, inductions, and site readiness.
Provide recruitment support across geographically dispersed worksites.
Proactively source and engage qualified tradespeople using diverse channels such as job boards, industry networks, referrals, and existing talent pools.
Align recruitment activities with client and project requirements, ensuring all hires meet safety, compliance, and operational standards.
About you:
Previous experience in blue-collar recruitment and/or mobilisation within mining, construction, or maintenance industries (essential)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in blue-collar recruitment is required for this position.
Results driven with proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume recruitment environment, demonstrating problem solving skills and initiative, coupled with a desire to contribute to a high-performing team.
Organised individual who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with tradespeople, site teams and key stakeholders.
Experience preparing, managing, and issuing Contracts of Employment for large volumes of trade-based hires.
Must have a positive, energetic and resilient approach to your work with the ability to manage competing priorities and urgent workforce demands.
A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support the team during peak periods. A sense of humour and adaptability are highly valued.
