"During the initial consultation, she carried out a range of tests that gave me a clear picture of my current health. The lifestyle changes and products that she recommended to me were based upon the test results and the service I received throughout was thorough, friendly and professional.I was amazed that within 5 days, I felt significantly better than I had felt in months! What’s it like working at Wizard Pharmacy?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees appreciate the supportive and friendly colleagues at Wizard Pharmacy, along with the company's emphasis on excellent customer service. Many value the training and development opportunities available, including internal and external programmes. Several reviewers highlight opportunities for career growth and praise supportive management who encourage learning and maintain open communication.

However, there are some potential challenges, including management communication and consistency varying across locations, and the workplace environment differing between stores. Staffing levels can be stretched during periods of growth, leading to heavy workloads. Maintaining work/life balance can be difficult in a seven-day retail environment, and some employees note that career progression opportunities and compensation could be improved in certain locations.

This role was the key reason I decided to leave the retail pharmacy sector.
The good thingsExceptionally patient manager and supervisor I’ve ever worked with! and a very kind, helpful, cheerful and nice coworker, she answered my endless beginner questions without any frustration!
The challengesToxic workplace culture. Greeting some of the coworkers resulted in being completely ignored. I also experienced them rolling their eyes at me when passing in the aisle, leaving me genuinely wondering whether I was visible to them or not. Unprofessional behaviour from some pharmacists. A few were consistently passive-aggressive and dismissive, when walking past them in the dispensary area, they would slam medication boxes onto the conveyor belt right behind me, very hostile environment.

Don’t work here unless you’re desperate.
The good thingsSupportive co-workers and line manager was good.
The challengesLack of direction from the CEO, who changes his mind every other day. Pay was insulting and no work from home options even if you live far away and your role could be done remotely.

    Moral breaking.
The good thingsHoneslty not a lot. I would say the actual work is simple and easy but quite boring
The challengesThe management where not responsive or cared about your personal life and where not flexible. Some of the pharmacists I worked with were very undermining and rude. Overall, not a place you can grow or feel accepted.
