What’s it like working at Verto?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at Verto appreciate the supportive colleagues and positive team environment, with many noting that staff are friendly and willing to help one another. The meaningful nature of the work is frequently mentioned, particularly the opportunity to assist clients in improving their lives through employment and training. Staff value the opportunities for professional development, with management supporting career progression, as well as the flexibility offered in managing their time and work arrangements. Many reviewers highlight that management is supportive and willing to assist with challenges.

However, there are some potential challenges to consider. KPIs and targets can be demanding, requiring significant effort to meet weekly and monthly goals. Some staff have noted concerns about management consistency, with reports of changing priorities and differing experiences across teams. The workload can be substantial, with tight schedules and limited time to complete tasks. Keeping up with changing government contracts and legislation can be challenging in this dynamic environment. Working with clients who have complex needs can be demanding, and some employees have mentioned that training and support could be more structured. A few reviewers have also raised concerns about workplace safety measures when dealing with challenging client behaviours.

Wouldn't recommend as you can be treated better and earn more elsewhere
The good thingsMost of the staff are friendly and can hold a decent conversation
The challengesToxic management. Unrealistic expectations. The management have their favourites people and if you aren't one of them you will be treated poorly.

Working here made me want to get a new job.
The good thingsGreat co-worker and supportive team leader. That's where the positives ended.
The challengesEverything needs improving/changing. You're not told what the job is actually like - high staff turn over due to clientele and lack of support/security. KPIs/money are all that matter. Clients are a priority over staff. Minimal safety and security measures in office. Very unsafe workplace. OHS and physical/mental safety issues. No training to support dealing with mentally ill and aggressive clients. No consequences for poor client behaviour.

    Toxic Upper Management
The good thingsA couple of working friendships I formed. The extra one weeks annual leave.
The challengesToxic upper management, tell you one thing then go back on their word. Do NOT support staffs safety. Unrealistic KPIs. Worst Organisation I have ever worked for.
