All image, no loyalty. You won't get back what you put in!
The good thingsMy coworkers and team looked after each other
The challengesUnitywater often talks about its strong values and commitment to its people, but the reality doesn’t always reflect what is preached. The focus seems to be more on image than on genuine action. Despite promises of growth and development, long-term staff are consistently denied opportunities under the excuse of “lack of staff,” leaving many stuck in the same roles for years. After more than a decade of service, it’s disheartening to see that dedication and experience aren’t rewarded. The culture can feel like it’s built on appearances rather than authentic support or investment in employees.

Poor work environment, too heavy of a self-serving management structure prioritising corporate self-gratification, not enough actual workers and poor focus on resourcing for core deliverables. I would warn friends about working here.
The good thingsCentral office locations, nice facilities. Pay was competitive at the time (but they completely didn't deliver on package promised).
The challengesThe organisation is too interested in appearing to do the right thing then just focusing on the basics of good service and focusing on sewer and water connections and networks. When I resigned there was no offboarding interview = no learning from their mistakes.

    WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
The good thingsLocation close to M1 Bruce Highway
The challengesWould not recommend organisation under payed for the amount of work given. Toxic workplace culture if you spoke up they see you out of the business.
