What’s it like working at Tip Top?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the friendly and supportive colleagues at Tip Top, with many forming lasting friendships on the production floor. Staff also value the free bread provided daily, decent pay with allowances, good penalty rates for weekend work, and plenty of overtime opportunities for those who want them.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about upper management and site leadership not always listening to employee concerns, and communication that could be clearer between senior management and staff. Some employees find HR support could be improved, particularly with handling transfers and leave requests. Staffing levels can be challenging due to high turnover, creating pressure on remaining team members to meet production targets, especially during equipment breakdowns. Additionally, some staff feel that pay rates could be more competitive and that recognition for hard work and loyalty could be enhanced.

Maybe management should look in the mirror instead of trying to lie and pretend it’s ok.
The good thingsWas ok, now not good
The challengesAs far as challenges go, pretty much anyone with long service is targeted including myself. Being left to run multiple lines with zero support from site leaders has become very stressful. Maybe those sitting in the office should come on the floor and help us when the breakdowns happen and product go all over floor. Have lost many great team members in this recent year, many more are looking for work due to the ridiculous decisions being made.

Dry Creek a good place to work with ongoing changes its sad that others bring the place down.
The good thingsSafety and wellbeing of the teams are a priority and great people to work with.
The challengesI feel that maybe dry creek is a victim of its own success because our site is always called up to support other states, which while this is good, it does place pressure on us, but we constantly deliver high quality product. thanks to everyone working together Dry Creek is a great and safe place to work

Head management have no respect for the workforce underneath them.
The good thingsMade a lot of friends on the production floor. I worked along side some great leaders when I started.
The challengesHR showed no care for health and wellbeing, denied leave due to company not having enough up skilled employees. Was constantly receiving calls from incompetent managers to ask how to do their own job. Being accepted to take leave is a rarity and always met with “we’ll see about it”. Company lacks respect for hard work put in from leaders and operators, constantly pushing you to perform in highly stressful..completely avoidable environments.
