Incredibly disappointing what it has become
The good thingsA small group of employees remain that are dedicated to innovation, culture and understanding of the industry they are in. Unfortunately it is now few and far between.
The challengesThe last 18 months were a downhill spiral of incompetence. Redundancy sweeps, more consultants than free lunches who were very detrimental to the culture. A severe lack of leadership and decision making, new hires that simply did not value their staff and could not show up to a meeting on time. Poor decision making, archaic technology and many lacked understanding of the Australian wagering landscape and what tabcorp means to the industry. Unfortunately what should be a "dream" job for people that love sports, racing and wagering, has only become a nightmare of poor decisions with soulless offices only focused on share price.

The good thingsA huge uninspiring let down.
The challengesTabcorp feels like an old boys' club where connections often matter more than capability. Leadership is childish, political and insular, accountability is weak, and HR seems focused on protecting management. Short-term thinking, poor culture, an ‘yea’ culture and entrenched issues contribute to capable employees leaving.
