What’s it like working at SYC?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees value the supportive colleagues and collaborative team environment at SYC, along with the opportunity to do meaningful work supporting disadvantaged young people. The flexible working arrangements and good work/life balance are also appreciated, particularly by staff with families.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about management practices and communication, with some staff seeking more feedback and consultation. The workload can be demanding with busy days requiring good time management. As a not-for-profit, reliance on government funding can affect service delivery, and some employees have noted that additional training and clearer frameworks would be beneficial.

Rollercoaster. had more bad days than good days.
The good thingsThe staff/ colleagues. I had great peers and they were the best part of the job. Also the customer engagement.
The challengesPoor management, high staff turnover due to poor management. Management only think of themselves and never consult staff before making decisions. Oh they also tell you you have all these perks but then ask you to get approval before you can access said perks.
