What’s it like working at SunRice?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at SunRice appreciate the quality of their colleagues, describing them as friendly and supportive with a good team environment. The pay is considered good for the region, particularly with overtime, and work/life balance is generally positive with flexible arrangements. Employees also value the facilities, including nice offices and perks such as free refreshments and monthly activities.

However, there are some potential challenges, including management issues such as frequent turnover and micromanaging, limited career progression opportunities, and the demands of shift work with rotating schedules. Some employees mention a silo mentality across departments and challenges with outdated equipment that can be difficult to replace.

The good thingsSunRice offers the opportunity to work with genuinely committed people who care about the business, its products and the communities in which it operates.
The challengesLike many large and evolving organisations, balancing operational priorities with longer-term strategic initiatives can sometimes be challenging.

A good place to work if you can get past the entry level positions and avoid the petty politics.
The good thingsThe pay is good for the region. Expectations are usually quite reasonable. The internal structure is quite sound for the most part.
The challengesTypical small town mentality at both milling sites. Your social integration with the group will be challenging and many people still feel like outsiders after years working at both Leeton and/or Deniliquin. Typical small town cultural experience too. If you aren’t “Aussie” then you should expect the standard ignorances and insensitivities.
