What’s it like working at SACARE?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at SACARE appreciate the meaningful work with clients, finding it rewarding to make a positive difference in people's lives. The supportive and friendly colleagues create a positive team environment, whilst flexibility in choosing hours and requesting leave is valued. Training opportunities help employees build confidence and develop new skills, and many note that management and coordinators are supportive and approachable.

However, there are some potential challenges, including concerns about management practices and organisational structure, with feedback about inconsistent decision-making and limited supervision opportunities. Career development opportunities may be limited, and building up regular shifts and longer hours can take time, with some employees noting reduced hours due to funding constraints. Additionally, some employees have indicated that the pay scale is lower compared to other agencies, and staff turnover has been noted as creating challenges during transition periods.

You are treated like nothing but a number. Go somewhere else where you will be treated well.

Collectively positive experiences, but definitely room to improve.
The good thingsFree training to increase your confidence working opportunities.
The challengesPay scale is very low compared to other agencies I work for. Getting regular shifts that are longer than 2 hours takes a long time. You are constantly offered shifts you are not eligible for (i.e.: female only client preference, or not trained for a particular medical condition)
