Support Worker
May 2018Good job for the money, but dont expect to do any real change/good.
The good thingsOne on one with client. Reasonable pay. Long shifts.
The challengesCoordinators have inadequate education for role. Do not adhere to healthy work practices. Poor conflict resolution skills in the workplace. Parent/guardian centred approach and One2One being 'employed' by the guardian have little control and are just admin really.

The good thingsFlexibility and kid friendly work place. Staff are great to work with.
