    Our mission statement

For over 100 years, the NRMA has existed to keep people moving. We were forged by purpose from the very beginning. It’s why we advocate for safer roads, better transport and cheaper fuel. It’s why we turn up fast to the roadside when we’re needed. It’s why we’re leading the charge toward electric vehicles. It’s why we strive for reconciliation and gender equality. It’s why we’re there to help in times of crisis. It's why we invest in tourism – making sure there are compelling places to go that are safe and great value for money. It’s why we want to create a sustainable future for all, and believe that education and meaningful experiences lead to more respect and care for our environment.

Great if you love shifts changes not good for those who don't like being micromanaged
The good thingsWorking remote / from home. Excellent benefits working a 3 week changing roster - shifts start & finish between 5am-Midnight. Bonuses if you meet KPI's. Amazing staff all willing to help & assist with new & constantly changing processes. Coaches provide real time feedback. Employees are updated through email/message notifications, 1 on 1 manager catch ups and monthly team meetings. Upper management actually engage with all employees.
The challengesAll calls, breaks, everything, is micromanaged and reported on down to the second. Slow system!!! Have to log on min 15-20mins before rostered time to make sure everything loads ready for your start time (not paid but should be) or your classed as 'being late to shift'. You & your internet connection are blamed & held responsible for all system issues - even when happening to multiple users. Performance Plan not ended when should be due to manager not completing weekly follow-ups then extended for ridiculous reasons.

    Don't bother applying
The good thingsThe good things Working from home can be convenient Helping members is rewarding Five weeks of paid training at the start
The challenges Management focus is on call stats, not genuine member interaction Scripts make conversations robotic Penalty rates for Saturday and Sunday are the same Constant call drop-ins and very limited breathing space Only two short breaks per shift, bathroom use is scrutinised Treated more like school children than professionals Frequent software crashes add to the stress

I was looking for a new job within 3 months.
The good thingsI have nothing to say here.
The challengesI discussed expectations incl travel, hours, mileage of the role quite thoroughly before joining to prevent surprises. They went back on it all within the first week. My line manager changed goal posts every second day. Inefficient and ineffective leadership who will lie to get what they want.
