I would recommend working for Murrays to a friend if you have the temperament to ignore conflicting standards in job requirements and the training provided. Safety V speed was in constant tension and there is a fine line when you have to report in your work diary the correct hours work and not what other drivers can do the run in. The bus cleaning standards were high and sometimes you needed extra time to hit this mark. The tension between time and standard was also another confusing conflict and I felt a call to a network communication officer to ask if you could spend another 10 to 15 minutes on the job of cleaning is micromanagement at if worst. Having got that off my chest it was a most enjoyable job with the best part being the friendships with my fellow drivers and the sales and admin staff. I met some very interesting customers and went on some great adventures with touring parties. I will miss this very much. Keep you head down, don't talk back and you will be fine.
The good thingsMy fellow drivers and the driving work were fantastic and the onboarding process was very professional.
The challengesThe differences between the onboarding training and the operational standards and rules did my head in. The general work process is very paper dependent with information being required multiple times.

Generally good people environment. It is more suitable for graduates to kick start career or who don’t mind doing shift work, but not right for experienced staff or whoever values time and efficiency. Unwritten rule: work 6 days over the weekend , public holidays or overtime if you want to get a pay up, and some teams are not allowed to work from home. Not recommended!
