Management SHOULD visit the houses and get a better understanding of the challenges facing workers.
The good thingsSome colleagues are great to work with. This is the only thing that keeps some staff there.
The challengesManagement does not care about the staff or the participants. They only care about the bottom line. Lots of talk about making things better but nothing changes. A fish rots from the head and this company is a great example of that.

Management, do as we say, not as we do!
The good thingsHelping the participants achieve what they want to achieve.
The challengesManagement are helpful to the chosen few, if you speak up on anything they may be doing incorrectly you are shunned and targeted with behavior from senior staff that is questionable.

1 to 2 years in the role, current employee
I've learnt a great deal, was supported when I needed it. If I dealt with it on my own, head down up, I was still given assistance when needed (I can't complain).
The good thingsLove working with the participants Respect the policies and procedures Enjoy being a SW Enjoy the diversity of learning new skills sets. Enjoy the laughter and rogue funnies from participants
The challengesDoing all nights - roster situation related. Would like at least 2-4 evenings at home. But that is my case not everyone is in my situation. Would like more career opportunities Staff development vs personalities vs experience vs age related situations Lack of positive feedback - you don't know if you're doing a good job or not. It's kind of catch a maybe on the staff gossip grapevine vine.
