The good thingsThe crew. Great people.
The challengesWorking for a management team who are more interested in protecting their circle than upholding Company values and objectives. Peabody/Yancoal would do very well to review the role of the entire upper management team. Many great people who have sought to promote Company interests and values have been released from the Company or pushed out as they have run counter to the interests of upper management, which have demonstrated their commitment to their own interests in the business. It is a cesspool of a place, in nearly two decades of mining I have not seen the likes of it and one which I would strongly advise anyone considering working here to avoid unless you are cut from the same cloth.
