What’s it like working at Melbourne Park?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees at Melbourne & Olympic Parks value the opportunity to work at incredible events and be part of Melbourne's iconic live sports and entertainment precinct. They often cite their colleagues as one of the best parts of the job, describing them as a group of passionate and dedicated people. The location is also seen as a positive.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as concerns about management and a perceived lack of care for staff, as well as a prioritisation of technical outcomes over culture. There are also challenges around rostering and shift allocation, with some employees feeling they do not receive adequate shifts, particularly during quieter periods. Certain roles involve long hours on your feet and irregular schedules, which can be demanding.

I would not recommend to anyone to work at Melbourne and Olympic Parks it's an unhealthy workplace. Watch this space
The good thingsStill in contact with a few great ex colleagues.
The challengesMelbourne and Olympic Parks management don't care about the staff. The casual crowd controllers are underpaid and now it's law to pay the employees the correct pay under the award wage (MA000016) the management know about this and should be jailed and fined as per the law.

Rostering used to be good at their job. These days they are more content with keeping the new staff happy, by providing them with shifts inside Rod Laver Arena, Margret Court Arena and John Cain Arena while providing the older staff shifts on turnstiles, and in lifts.
The good things* The events I get to work at * Work colleagues
The challengesReceiving adequate shifts during the winter months. Rostering would rather provide them to new staff to keep them on the books and happy. Instead of offering extra shifts to staff who have worked for them for 10+ years!
