What’s it like working at Lovisa?

    AI summary of recent reviews
Employees value the 50% staff discount on jewellery and the strong friendships formed with co-workers, which create a supportive team environment. Many enjoy engaging with customers and providing styling advice, whilst developing valuable customer service skills including piercing techniques and stock management.

However, there are some potential challenges, including the management style and support levels from upper management, an intense workload with high sales targets and KPIs, rostering difficulties with availability and last-minute changes, limited training for some responsibilities, concerns about pay rates and unpaid overtime, and lean staffing levels during busy periods.

    working at lovisa be like
The good thingsi had good coworkers though manager's not the best, doesn't really act like a manager
The challengesmanagement and overall hours, upper management are so rude, belittles you, takes advantage of their power/roles. hours are so bad and doesn't even follow your availability after sending multiple times and continuously being rude to everyone unless you're important to them and useful, hires new people all the time instead of cherishing employees thats been in the company for 2+ years and continues to hire without training them therefore new hures get in trouble as they dont know what they are doing which then leads to them quitting (its so sad as its not even theur fault). they think that all your life is just to work for them and doesn't consider that u have a life after work and studies and guilttrips u into changing school schedule rven though its their responsibility to work around availabilities. upper management before was okay but she's quit and the new ones arent great plus on top rude and obnoxious behaviour, belittling etc

Good learning experience, made good bonds and memories, but could be better in terms of training and workload.
The good thingsMade some really great friends and being able to trauma bond with coworkers. Really taught some good life lessons and skills, but was taught as I worked.
The challengesSo much.... Young girls are forced to pierce without sufficient training (not even basic first aid), Safety concerns with stealing and aggressive customers at times, sometimes there isn't even a manager to support and to help. Had some bad manager experiences but management changed within the last year and that has lessened the work stress now. Also, they expect a lot from the employee, especially basically having no social life and dedicating all your time to the company as a part-time worker and not being sufficient.
