Too disruptive for performative leadership.
The good thingsTemporary access to exceptional leaders that joined the brand and then realised the dumpster fire LMA is and decide to leave.
The challengesLockheed Martin Australia does important work, but my experience was that internal governance, HR process and executive leadership often fell well short of the standard the brand suggests. Policy and procedure felt fragmented, inconsistently applied and at times difficult to access or follow. In serious employee matters, that lack of clarity creates real risk for staff.
The bigger issue was leadership. There was plenty of language about culture, transformation, ethics and governance, but too much of it felt performative. Strong on optics, slogans and executive messaging; weak on fixing broken process, supporting employees properly, and applying standards consistently. The rhetoric was polished, the execution was not.
Good people are there, but the system above them needs serious work. My advice: document everything and do not confuse corporate language with genuine leadership.

The good thingsThe jobs ads sound good, not overly true though.
The challengesHonestly I’ve watched this place turn into a terrible culture. The army command just throw work at you that they don’t want to do and then blame you if anything goes wrong. Easier and Looks better for them. The manager/management is indoctrinated by the army so really the army is actually your boss. Our management realistically just approves your leave if the army is okay with it. They will change your shifts when they want.
Quote- “do not plan your personal life near work hours”
If you are in dire need of a job then sure. But otherwise I would stay well clear from here, it will mentally tear you down.
Any “career progression” is at your own expense, it’s not their problem.
Everyone here is basically waiting for another job in the area to pop up.
You are completely embedded into the army, but you are viewed as less. The pay doesn’t meet the shear mental stress that you’ll have to deal with on a daily basis.
Flexible work arrangements are only flexible if it works for them.

The challengesHierarchy was sub-standard and didn't care about the ordinary workers. Equity and Diversity preached by some office workers was beyond toxic.
